“confines”

all my memories drawn into stillness

“confines” consisted of a live grass text which wrapped around the walls of a small secluded storage area in a former orphanage. The text planted with domestic rye grass was grown directly into the plaster walls. The words emerged and were kept alive by a timed misting system and artificial lights, living without intervention for the seven weeks of the exhibition.
